This cute couple couldn't move five metres without getting their photograph taken. I recognised Squall's jacket from the other end of the street.

Apparantly Full Metal Alchemist is popular, and I need to watch it.

There are always as many Sephiroths as there are Aeris'. I think it's how balance in the universe is maintained.

A good costume from a show you don't know is always better than a bad costume that you recognise. This lovely maid definately fell into the former.

Am I so dorky for instantly recognising this one as Nurse Witch Komugi?

Vash is too sexy for his boots, too sexy for his hair...

The duel disk prop made this cosplay oh so much more wonderful. Plus, Seto's the man.

Vincent takes time off from his angst-ridden quest for vengeance to be distracted by something shiny.

I had to take this photo twice- accidently missed out most of Seifer's forehead on my first attempt. There were quite a few Selphies at Aya. Why there was never a Final Fantasy group photoshoot is beyond me.

I only managed to catch the second episode of Tsukiyomi Moon Phase at Aya (decided to chance Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo and found it quite dull) but I liked what I saw. This would have been pegged as "Cute Catgirl Plus Woman From X" otherwise.

Zidane! This cosplay scores major points for sheer accuracy. It didn't carry some of the "WOW!" factor of some other cosplays, but I was quietly impressed with just how well this cosplayer got the details of Zidane's costume right. Well, if you count squealing "EEE! ZIDANE!" under "quietly impressed".

WOW. This costume was so good that it didn't even LOOK like a hand-made cosplay costume. The picture doesn't do it justice. I would go so far as to call this the best cosplay in the entire convention.

I know this is Lum, but I have no idea what anime she's from.

And the third Sheena arrives! This was actually my friend Luki, who arrived at the end of Friday.

He had to put his mask on before I could take his photo. Guess that's what happens when you bug people for photos in the Dealer's Room.

Another Lenne... she looks nice, but I don't quite understand why she's so popular to cosplay. It's even more strange when you consider how much criticism FFX-2 got.

I really should start a "Vincent Count". That must be the third or fourth one!

Yay! Another Tokyo Mew Mew cosplay! Why don't people cosplay TMM more?

And here's another Rikku! I'm never too sure if liking her is a guilty pleasure or not. It's obvious fanservice. But... she's just so damn cute. T_T

Degiko's arch-nemesis shows up. I wish Degiko had been near so I could have them fight it out. ^_^

It was awesome when more TOS cosplayers started showing up. We all grouped together on Saturday and pretty much spent the rest of the con in each other's company. It's wonderous how much of a bonding effect cosplay can have.

Of course, we needed to take a mini-group photo together.

Another Selphie. This one was involved in running the Amateur Voice Actors panel at Aya, which I went to. Voice acting looks like fun- I would love to give it a try sometime. If only I could remember that web site they ran.

Finally, another Yuna to add to the count. Loved the pose, girls.
Yuna Count: 4

This girl had a lot of props prepared, from a Kero plushie to a Clow Book and even that Clow Staff.

More GOTHIES! The EGL picnic (which I regretfully couldn't attend) was that day, so I guess that's why they were still around. Great costumes- I'm a big fan of the EGL style.

Ah, now THESE Naruto characters I know, having read the Shonen Jump manga.

New Rikku meets classic Rikku. And a rift in time and space opens.

I was surprised that I didn't see more Tidi at the convention. In my book he's the second best male hero in the Final Fantasy series. (Below Zidane and above Cloud)

I'm seeing double here! Four Sheenas!

Zelos enters realms of pleasure only dreamt about before.

Taken at the end of a thirty-minute queue to enter the Bring And Buy Dealer's Room. I got a lot of good cosplay photos while waiting in line.

Sparkly. I love the Seramyu costume designs.

Gar. It's Sasuke's brother from Naruto, but the name escapes me.

"Cabbit On A Stick". AWESOME. She even had a "Chiyo-chan On A Stick" buried in there.

I am such a fanboy for Chun Li. I loved the costume, especially the spiked bracelets.

The one on the left looks like the instructor for the second stage of the Chuuin exam from Naruto. The one on the right looks like a character from Oh My Goddess!, but I've never seen it.

And this guy is Naruto's tutor. But once again, my lack of hardcore Naruto knowledge means the name slips from my grasp.

I admire anyone dedicated enough to cosplay to wear that nose.

The detail on this costume was spot-on, from the lettering to the "Raccoon City Police Department" patch on his arm.

Whee! More additions to our TOS group. I actually thought that no-one would do Raine because of how complicated her costume was, so she was a splendid surpise. And Presea had a costume that allowed her to have a bag! I'm not even allowed to have pockets! No fair!

The evil zombie was nice enough to pose for me.

And our TOS group is complete! Genis had dyed hair which had a really good effect, and her costume was spot-on, too. Though Other Zelos cheated by not wearing her gloves all the time! I hardly took mine off, even when fumbling for coins in my wallet.

Best. Pose. EVER.

Poor Colette had to remain face down for a good two minutes while we all snapped photos. ^_^;

And here's the first big group shot of our Tales Of Symphonia group. We actually got all the main characters, which is impressive. None of the other groups could boast that. We hung around together for most of the con, so you'll see a lot of group shots in the next few updates.
Note to viewers: If anyone would like a high-res shot of any one of these photos, then just leave your email address in a comment and I'll send one to you ASAP.
